Hello, all.
Welcome to my first ever blog, Cider with Rosie. As yet, I am not quite sure where this blog is going to take me. I am a 20 year-old music student studying Music at the University of Manchester with a passion for music, art, theatre and writing. My first thoughts were that this blog could be a place for me to flex my journalistic muscles by reviewing concerts, plays and exhibitions I have seen whilst in Manchester as I have recently been thinking about journalism as a future career, but I have just finished my first year at Uni and am back at home, in not-so-eventful Hertfordshire!
I think, for the moment, that this blog will become a collection of things, reviews of things I have seen, places I have been, books, poetry, snapshots from my life, and above all, general musing (for the moment at least) until I return to good old Manchester. They say home is where the heart is, but I am rapidly discovering that this might not be the case. I’ve been longing for a place to hold all my ideas, and this may just be it, so for now I’ll just meander through, sharing my thoughts, dreams and inspirations with you as I find them.
